Corrective Treatments

Sometimes the spots on our skin add character, but sometimes they undermine our confidence. It’s important that we feel comfortable and confident in the skin we’re in, and at Limestone Laser clinic, we’re passionate about helping you achieve that. We see many of our clients using makeup in an attempt to cover their skin blemishes, which ultimately causes more damage to the skin.

Whether it’s the appearance of veins and capillaries, scarring, stretch marks, birth marks, rosacea, sun spots or any other pigmentation condition, we take the time during our initial consultation to understand what that mark means to you and why you want it removed.

How does it work?

We use IPL (or Intense Pulsed Light) to reach into the deeper layers or your skin. The pigments in this layer absorb the laser light and convert it to heat. This heat then helps to destroy the unwanted pigmentation and produce new blemish-free skin cells that are visible on skin’s surface. For vascular procedures, the IPL heats the walls of the vein causing them to collapse and disappear.

What can this treatment help with?

Corrective treatment is great for most areas of the body experiencing any of the following conditions:

  • The appearance of veins and capillaries
  • Scarring
  • Stretch marks
  • Birth marks
  • Rosacea
  • Sun spots
  • Muscular stains
  • Most pigmentation conditions

Is it painful?

The procedure doesn’t hurt, but a warm sensation may be experienced. There may be a slight discomfort over heavier blemishes.

What does it cost?

Price per session: Starting from $150 for a 15 minute session

Typical recommended sessions: This is considered on a case-by-case basis. It depends on the depth and severity of the blemishes or condition (ie. Rosacea can be an on-going treatment, whereas Pigmentation or Vascular generally only requires 2 to 3 treatments – this will be estimated during your consultation).
