Cryolipolysis is not a weight loss solution; it’s simply a way to help reduce stubborn fat pockets to reignite your confidence. The perfect candidates are usually within five to 10 kilograms of their ideal weight and are looking for a targeted and permanent solution. Perhaps you are an avid gym goer who is becoming demotivated by a stubborn area that just won’t leave, or maybe you want to remove a double chin to feel more confident and comfortable in your own skin. Whatever your reason, we’ll chat about it in your initial consultation and create a treatment plan that’s right for you.
Like all our services at Limestone Laser Clinic, our treatments always begin with an initial consultation. During this we’ll discuss your motivations, wants, medical history and lifestyle to determine if you’re a good fit for cryolipolysis. If we decide to go ahead, we’ll book in some treatment sessions.
While you relax on the treatment bed, we’ll gently place the cryolipolysis handpiece onto the desired treatment area/s (fun fact: we can do two areas at once)! For the first few minutes it will feel like a cold, suction feeling, but that will shortly ease. We’ll leave the handpiece on you for anywhere between 45 and 90 minutes (depending on how clingy your cells are). During this time, you’re welcome to watch TV; receive a free LED treatment; finish off some work (with our complementary Wi-Fi); or our favourite option: have a snooze.
After the handpiece has done its job, there will be a 15 to 20 minute massage to further break down the crystals that have just been frozen. Next up is a radio frequency treatment which helps to activate the collagen production and tighten the area.
Following each treatment, you are free to return to your regular routine. It’s important that you drink lots of water and continue to look after your body with exercise and nourishing food.
Cryolipolysis is a body sculpting technology that targets soft fat only; it is not a weight loss solution. As such, it will work in the following areas:
It depends on each client and their needs, but usually a minimum of three sessions will be required. This will be determined in your initial consultation.
Of course it will vary between clients, but we usually see a reduction of between one and 1.5 inches (sometimes even two!) per session, especially around the abdominal area. However, it can take up to three months after the last treatment for the final results to show as the body changes its fat distribution and the skin tightening process completes. The best part is that if you continue to nourish and exercise your body, these results will be for life!
Cryolipolysis has been helping people feel confident and comfortable in their own skin for over ten years now. The Australian Register of Therapeutic Goods (ARTG) and the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) both have cryolipolysis on their registers and have accepted its technology as safe and effective.
